30 Year Fixed Rate Mortgages Still Historically Low

Even though we have seen 30 year fixed rate mortgages climb a little higher each quarter in 2018, the rates are still at historic lows when you look at rates over the last 46 years.   Even at a 5% 30 year fixed rate mortgage, this still gives buyers more buying power than the 36 year period from 1972 to 2008.  Thanks to Brett Evertz from Opportunity Bank for this chart.

Airport Sets June Boarding Record

The Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport set another record for the total number of passengers flying in and out of the airport for the month of June.  Nearly 135,000 passengers flew in or out of Bozeman last month.  This is about a 12% increase from June of 2017 and the most the airport has ever seen in June.  Airport Director Brian Sprenger says that the success and growth of the airport helps the growth and economy of southwest Montana.  The airport expects another record breaking month ... read more

Another New Hotel Coming to Downtown Bozeman

A developer has filed plans with the city of Bozeman for a new hotel on east Main St called the Bozeman Residence Inn Hotel.  It will be 4 stores tall and 104 rooms.  The hotel will be just east of the Locati Architecture office who is also building a 45,000 sqft retail/office building next door.
