Bozeman Schools Set Enrollment Record

The Bozeman School District set an enrollment record this fall of 7,111 students.  That is a 29% increase over the last 10 years.  Bozeman High School also set an enrollment record this year of 2,260 students.  The freshman class this year is 601 students.  Bozeman High School is projecting an enrollment of 2,400 students in 2021 which is what spurred the need for building a second high school.  The new high school, Gallatin High will open for the fall 2020 school year.  It will give t... read more

Gallatin County voters rejected building a new courts and sheriff's office building on November 5, 2019. Votes Cast = 27,544 (35% voter turnout)No Votes  = 14,865  (45%)Yes Votes = 12,150  (55%)State law dictates that with voter turnout between 30% & 40%, a ballot measure must pass by 60% 1 vote or more.  With more than 40% voter turnout, a ballot measure needs only 50% 1 vote or more.  And equally defeated was the ballot measure to make certain county elected positions non-partisa... read more

Sun Country Airlines Coming to Bozeman

Sun Country Airlines will begin seasonal, non-stop flights from Bozeman to Minneapolis starting in June of 2020.  The airline will offer flights on Wednesdays and Saturdays during the 2020 summer season.  One-way tickets could be available for as little at $89.  Sun Country has a fairly extensive network based out of Minneapolis which will give Bozeman passengers more connection options.  Bozeman now has competing airlines for 6 of it's 10 non-stop flights.

Largest Ski Swap In The Northwest U.S.

This Saturday and Sunday November 2 & 3 is the largest ski swap anywhere in the northwest U.S.  Major retailers across the northwest bring their excess new winter gear to sell as well as used local consignments of winter gear.  Our local Bridger Ski Foundation puts on this swap and it is one of their major fundraisers throughout the year.  BSF is also the organization that grooms over 80 km of cross country ski trails throughout our valley which it FREE for skiers to use.  They are a great o... read more

3 More Non-Stop Airline Routes to Bozeman

In 2020, American Airlines will add daily summer service direct from Bozeman to Los Angeles (LAX) and Saturday only summer service to New York Laguardia (LGA) and Philidelphia (PHL).  That brings the total to 18 cities that will have non-stop service to Bzoeman.  Bozeman continues to be the largest airport in the state of Montana.
