The much anticipated "Trail to the M and Drinking Horse" is ready to begin construction within the next month.  This new trail has been in the works for years.  The City of Bozeman and the Federal Highway Administration have been hard at work planning a route, negotiating trail easements, and selecting a contractor.  Construction is expected to be completed by mid-September.  The new trail will run on the north side of Bridger Drive from the Creekwood subdivision to the M trial with an underpass... read more

Due to overwhelming opposition from the public about Bozeman's new high school name of "Bozeman Westslope High School," the school district is reconsidering the school name and has posted a new poll on their web site with 5 options.  1. Gallatin High School, 2. Spanish Peaks High School, 3. Storm Castle High School, 4. West High School and 5. Belgrade School District Passes $48 Million Dollar Bond

If you live in Belgrade to escape the growing pains of Bozeman, think again.  The Belgrade School District just passed a $48 million dollar revenue bond on Tuesday to heal it's own growing pains.  The school district expects student attendance to outpace school capacity by 2021 and needs expand to accommodate the growth.  The mail-in vote on Tuesday passed 57% to 43% with a 34% turnout.  The bond will help in 4 ways:1. It's official, Bozeman's 2nd high school has a new name

162 names were submitted by the public for Bozeman's 2nd high school.  The transition committee narrowed the list to 3 names and the school board last night selected "BOZEMAN WESTSLOPE HIGH SCHOOL."   The other two name choices were Bozeman Spanish Peaks High School and Bozeman Storm Castle High School.  The next step will be to choose a mascot and school colors.
