Spring Hikes to Avoid Muddy Trails

We all get Spring fever when those first few 50° degree days happen and folks want to get outside hiking and biking.  But spring is also the offical start of MUD season.  Hiking or biking on muddy trails can cause damage that can last all year long.  And road damage from your vehicle trying to get to trailheads with more primitive roads. Montana State University’s fall student enrollment is the largest in its 130-year history, with 16,978 students pursuing the many benefits of higher education at the state’s largest university.  The new enrollment is up 2% over last fall’s headcount, an increase of 290 students. Income & Property Tax Rebates for Montana

On March 13th, the 2023 Montana Legislature passed and the Governor just signed House Bills 192 & 222 which will give Montanans a rebate on their income taxes paid in 2021 and property taxes paid in 2022 & 2023.  The state has a multi-billion dollar surplus and collected more money than it needs.  The income tax rebate checks will be the lesser of the tax you paid on line 20 of your Montana Income Tax Form 2 in 2021 or $1,250 for individuals and $2,500 for married couples filing jointly.  The... read more
