Bozeman Schools Will Not Reopen This Spring

During a Bozeman School Board meeting Monday night April 27th, the board of trustees voted unanimously to not reopen schools this spring and continue with remote learning.  Montana Governor Steve Bullock's order allows schools to reopen after May 7th but gave school reopening authority to each school district.  The Bozeman School Board did not discuss High School graduation but Superintendent Bob Connors said there will be a graduation ceremony but it may not look like past graduations.  The Butte Sc... read more

State Campgrounds to Reopen Beginning May 1

The following FWP updates are in response to Gov. Bullock’s plan announced on Wednesday:• Overnight camping opportunities will resume at State Parks on May 1.• Campers between May 1st and May 15th may encounter reduced amenities or limited services that are typical for the opening of early-season recreational sites• Group sites, including fishing piers, will open May 1.• At all sites, social distancing guidelines must be strictly followed.• Visitor centers and park offices are still c... read more

At a press conference 12 pm Wednesday April 22nd, Montana Governor Steve Bullock announced the following easing of statewide restrictions due to the Corona Virus:Phase 1Sunday April 26th: The "Stay At Home" order will be canceled effective Sunday April 26th. People can not congregate in groups larger than 10.  No large parties or BBQ's to celebrate. Churches can reopen with 6' social distancing between families and with reduced attendance. Governor Steve Bullock extended the statewide "Stay At Home" order until April 24th which includes all the current rules of school closures and dine-in food or alcohol service.  He is now also encouraging everyone to wear a face mask if you are out in public.  Here is the link to his complete order  Governor's Closure Extension to April 24th
