Gallatin County Now Has 38 Cases of the Corona Virus

Gallatin County now has 38 cases of the Corona Virus as of 4 pm Thursday March 26th, the most of any county in the state.  And there are 90 cases across the State of Montana.  So far, there is only 1 person hospitalized in the State of Montana, all other Corona cases are self quarantining at home.

Governor Bullock ordered a Stay At Home Order for all of Montana effective at midnight Friday March 27th for all non-essential work to fight the spread of the Corona Virus.  People will be allowed to leave for food and medical care along with some other exceptions.  The order is effective until Friday April 10th.  The directive also prevents public and private gatherings of any number of people outside your home.  If you have any questions about your work or essential services or need help with ... read more
Effective at 9 pm March 26, 2020, the Gallatin County Health Department extended the business closure rule affecting restaurants, bars, casinos, ect to April 17th.  And they added closure restrictions to include hair salons, barber shops, nail salons, tanning salons and more.  And added regular church services to the closure rule.  Here is a link to the full order issued today from the health department -   Gallatin County Health Closure Order 3/26/20... read more

U.S. Senate Passes $2 Trillion Economic Aid Package

Wednesday night March 25th, the Unites States Senate passed the 3rd Economic Aid Package costing $2 Trillion on a vote of 96 - 0.  The bill will go to the U.S House of Representatives on Thursday for their consideration and vote.  President Trump has already pledged he will sign the bill right away.  One of the features benefiting most Americans is a one-time cash payment of $1,200 per adult making less than $75,000 and $500 per child under the age of 17.  The U.S. Treasury Secretary anticipated... read more
