Hiking the East Gallatin Recreation Area
Posted: March 06, 2018 by Mark L. Corner
One of my favorite in-town hikes are the loops around the East Gallatin Recreation Area located on the north edge of Bozeman. There are 4 different loops to hike. One around Glenn Lake and 3 around the East Gallatin River. The river loops are heavily wooded and you will usually see ducks and deer. This week there was a Great Horned Owl perched in the trees. And this area connects to the Cherry Creek trails to the west and the Legends and Creekwood trails to the east.
