MSU To Build A Hotel On Campus

Montana State University is going to build a hotel on campus to enhance the learning experience of its hospitality and culinary arts programs. The new hotel will give students real-world hands-on experience in their hospitality and culinary arts degree fields. Many of the top hospitality programs in the U.S. have training hotels affiliated with their programs. The hotel will be built and operated by Cross Harbor Capital, the owner of the Yellowstone Club with a 40 year land lease to MSU with the option of a 10 yr extension. They anticipate the hotel to be a Marriott franchise. And the hotel will allow visitors to MSU to be immersed in the campus setting. The hotel will be located to the east of the Fieldhouse and the two temporary dome fitness facilities along S 7th Ave. Three other companies submitted proposals to MSU and MSU selected Cross Harbor Capital.
